Hi, I’m Vijay — the voice behind Fountain Pens and Inks.

What started as a simple curiosity in finding the right pen to improve my handwriting after buying my first Traveler’s Notebook (back when it was still Midori) quickly grew into a lasting passion for fountain pens, inks, and the art of writing. Fourteen years on, my handwriting may not have improved as much as I’d hoped, but my appreciation for the experience certainly has.

I’ve always been drawn to tools that combine craftsmanship with everyday function, and fountain pens do exactly that — turning even the simplest note into something meaningful.

Over time, I’ve explored everything from vintage classics — with the Parker 51 holding a special place for me — to modern designs, particularly the work of small independent makers. I enjoy experimenting with different nibs, inks, and papers to understand what truly creates a great writing experience. Along the way, I’ve developed a keen interest in how inks behave, how pens perform in real-world use, and how small details can make a big difference.

Journalling has also become part of my daily routine, even if it’s just capturing the small, everyday moments.
